About Grace Filled Lemons
Turning Trials into Testimonies, One Lemon at a Time
Welcome, friend. I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Laura, and Grace Filled Lemons is my little corner of the web — a place where I share the sacred and simple ways I’ve learned to live, heal, and hope through some of life’s most difficult seasons.
I live with chronic illness, and over time, I’ve come to see my struggles not just as burdens, but as invitations. Invitations to slow down. To root deeper. To listen closer. To live more gently — and more faithfully. In the sour places, grace found me. And it’s grace that I now want to share with you.
This blog is a reflection of that journey.
Here, you’ll find:
• Herbal and aromatherapy recipes rooted in both tradition and tenderness
• Wholiopathic wellness practices to support body, mind, and soul
• Reflections on chronic illness, resilience, and the healing power of slowness
• Catholic inspiration — prayers, saints, feast day rituals, and spiritual reflections
• Simple rhythms for living seasonally, prayerfully, and intentionally
Whether you’re navigating your own health challenges, exploring natural living, deepening your faith, or just searching for a quieter way to be — Grace Filled Lemons is here to hold space for your healing.
This isn’t a place of perfection or polished answers. It’s a place of presence. Of honesty. Of slow growth. And of the belief that even in the hardest seasons, something beautiful can bloom.
So take a breath. Pour a cup of tea. Settle in.
You’re not alone here.
With grace and gentleness,
Laura
Still healing, still hoping, still choosing grace — one lemon at a time.

Fun Facts About Me

I’m a wholiopathic wellness counselor — blending natural wisdom with compassion, prayer, and practical care.

I’m also an herbalist and aromatherapy lover. My home smells like lavender, lemon, peppermint and oven baked granola with cinnamon most days.

I’m a convert and on the journey to becoming Catholic. The saints, sacraments, and quiet beauty of the Church have captured my heart in ways I never expected.

I drink tea like it’s a spiritual practice. Favorite blend? Lemon balm, chamomile, and rose — especially at sunset.

I’m a writer at heart. I’m currently working on a novel set in the Pacific Northwest — full of forests, healing, and quiet courage.

I’m an avid autumn lover — the scent of woodsmoke, the hush of rain, the golden leaves, the soft sweaters, and the quiet slowing down after a frenzied summer. Something in me exhales in October.

I love cozy instrumental music, old books, beeswax candles, and anything that makes the house feel like a sanctuary.

I live with chronic illness (ME/CFS, POTS, MCAS, autoimmune conditions), but I don’t let it steal my joy. Most days, I move slowly — and that’s okay.

I believe animals are healers too. (Golden retrievers have my whole heart.)

I feel closest to God when I’m barefoot on the PNW beach, sitting on the forest floor, wrapped in a blanket with my Bible, whispering prayers in the middle of the night, or in the presence of the Eucharist.

I named this blog Grace Filled Lemons because life handed me a lot of sour seasons — and by God’s grace, I’m learning to make something good and healing from them.

What I Believe

I believe healing is holy.
Not always linear, not always complete — but always sacred when offered to God. Every wound can become an altar. Every ache, an invitation.

I believe in the wisdom of God’s creation.
Plants, food, stillness, water, breath — I believe these are gifts, not trends. They’re part of how we were made to live: gently, slowly, and in rhythm with the seasons.

I believe in truth, beauty, and mystery.
In sacred scripture. In the stories of the saints. In the Eucharist. In a life lived sacramentally — where ordinary things become holy through love.

I believe the body and soul are deeply connected.
And that healing needs to reach both. That’s why I care for the whole person — with prayer, plants, presence, and peace.

I believe God can make something good out of anything.
Even the hardest things. Even the things we never asked for. Especially those. I’ve seen Him do it — and I believe He still is.

I believe in grace.
Freely given. Always available. Often unexpected. It’s what got me through the worst — and what carries me still.

A Blessing for You
May you find rest where you once felt restless,
healing where you’ve only known hurt,
and holy grace in the places that still ache.
May your days be wrapped in gentleness,
your body held with compassion,
and your spirit reminded that you are never alone.
And may every sour thing in your life
be met by the sweet, steady love of a God
who turns lemons into light.
With love,
Laura
